Whether we are involved early on with pre-construction planning for the overall project or focused solely on the mechanical scope, we believe pre-construction planning is a critical part of the overall construction process that leads to project success. The collaborative exchange of information during pre-construction planning yields alternative construction methods and sequencing, value engineering ideas, and vital information that improves productivity and reduces cost. We examine each phase of the process performing constructability reviews, cost evaluations, construction sequencing, and systems integration operations. We consult with equipment manufacturers and material suppliers to determine long-lead items and delivery requirements. We meet with architects, engineers, owners, subcontractors and the facility staff to discuss life-cycle costs, operational procedures, and plans for systems interruptions and by-pass operations.
